C’est avec la chanteuse canadienne Kyrie Kristmanson qu’ils apportent leur réponse. Entremêlant leurs singuliers univers musicaux, ils réunissent et assemblent les œuvres de Rebecca Clarke, Pauline Viardot et Hildegard von Bingen, mais aussi de Harriett Abrahms, de Germaine Tailleferre ou encore de Kate Bush. How can the works of women composers be brought to life? Bring them out of oblivion, and then what? This is the question posed by the Trio SR9 in Venus Rising. Their answer is provided by Canadian singer Kyrie Kristmanson. Interweaving their singular musical worlds, they bring together and assemble works by Rebecca Clarke, Pauline Viardot and Hildegard von Bingen, as well as Harriett Abrahms, Germaine Tailleferre and Kate Bush. Arranged specially for the disc, they engage in a dialogue with each other through four compositions by Kyrie Kristmanson, creating a narrative that traverses the themes of love, contemplation and desire with unparalleled freedom.
